Every High Level Throwing® Video Assessment includes an NTangible Clutch Factor Assessment. On 13 October 2026, at TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco, NTangible announced a change to how athletes take it.

What Changed
Athletes can now speak their answers to the open-ended questions about competitive situations. Responses are transcribed live and run through the same scoring framework as before.
What has not changed: the questions themselves, the scoring framework, and the roughly 15-minute completion time. Typing still works — this is an additional way to answer, not a replacement.
Why That Matters for Younger Athletes
This is the part worth paying attention to if you coach or parent a younger player.
A thoughtful twelve-year-old who is a slow typist will give you a shorter, flatter answer than they actually have in their head. The format was quietly measuring typing comfort alongside the thing it meant to measure.
Speaking removes that. For athletes who express themselves more naturally out loud — which, in our clinics, is a great many of them — the answer that gets scored is closer to the answer they meant.
What the Assessment Produces
- Clutch Factor™ — a 1,000-point measure of capacity to perform under pressure
- NTerpret™ — an individual profile of how the athlete learns, communicates, and responds to feedback
The second one tends to get overlooked and is arguably more immediately useful to a coach. Knowing that an athlete takes correction better in private than in front of a group changes how you run a session with them.
As NTangible founder and CEO Dan Connerty put it, an athlete should come away with “a better understanding of themselves and something they can use.”

NTangible is rolling the voice format out to partner programmes through autumn 2026. Hofstra University, Boston College and RFK Racing are among the named partners.
